What is your name and what do you do?

My name is Arielle Bucio but my friends & family call me “Boo Boo”. I work sales at Clash Dayton, model, and I’m a visual artist.

What does your downtown routine or nightlife look like?

I usually like to start or end at my favorite place to eat , Lucky’s Taproom and Eatery, and get their delicious vegan options. Shopping for vintage finds. Bring some coffee day or night with friends. Meet up for city scene photo shoots. Whenever I get the chance I’ll check out a show or open mics all around downtown, go see a movie at the Neon or just walk around Riverscape. The whole city is fun and it’s definitely the best time to go check out new places during first Friday events!

What's your favorite downtown event or place to celebrate special occasions?

The Clash fashion show at Masque is definitely my favorite event to go to/be apart of! I love having friends and family come out to support local art and spend the night out together. When the weather is nice, I enjoy going to live shows at the Levitt Pavilion and festivals at Riverscape! I also love attending “A World A’fair” at the Dayton Convention Center and watching all the different traditional dances.

What are your favorite downtown retail shops?

I would head to Feather's Vintage, Clash Dayton, 2nd Street Market for gifts (plus coffee), Brim, and Luna as far as The Oregon District goes, but there’re many more.

Where is your favorite place to go for dinner and drinks?

A huge thing for me is coffee. I love Table 33’s Dirty Lemonades [Coffee + Lemonade] or Gem City Catfe for coffee and vegan baked sweets. Lucky’s Taproom and Eatery is the best casual spot for some of the best vegan comfort food. Wheat Penny's eggplant fries are addictive. Century Bar has a reputation and they definitely live up to it. Masque & Therapy Cafe have the most fun night life for dancing and going out with friends. Hannah’s is a nice spot to catch local talent.

If you were to splurge on a gift, experience, or event downtown, what would it be?

Artwork is sold in many places, Clash, Toxic Brew, Butter Cafe, Skeleton Dust Records, etc. Event wise, I think the Masquerage event, Hauntfest, shows at Victoria Theatre, & the Schuster Center.
